Woodlake Church is committed to help people move from a large worship experience to a small group environment where they can connect with others. This is based upon the church vision of Loving God. Loving People. We have five types of groups that meet in various arenas in Metro Tulsa including homes and on campus.
What Happens in a Connect Group?
Each type of group has its own structure. Woodlake 101 is a class for newcomers and those interested in Woodlake membership. Sunday AM Connect groups are educational and take place in classrooms on campus. PM Connect groups include relational building, discussion of a curriculum and prayer for one another's needs. New Beginnings classes help people find recovery and renewal over difficult issues through a support group environment. Interest groups are highly relational and organized around a common pursuit, felt need, strength or passion.
When do Connect Groups meet?
AM Connect meet Sundays at 9:30 a.m. on campus. Wednesday PM meets on campus at 7:00 p.m. PM Connect groups meet Sunday evenings, in groups of approximately fifteen for about eighteen months. New Beginnings and Interest groups meet at various times.
Why join a Connect Group?
Connecting allows believers to grow closer to one another. By developing friendships, group members also strenghten each other in their relationship with God. Hence, participation not only unites people together, but also fosters spiritual growth.
What do Connect Groups study?
Groups study varying topics depending on the group type. Interest groups may or may not have a curriculum depending on the group focus.
How many Connect Groups may I join?
That is up to you! Some people are involved in multiple groups. We desire for everyone at Woodlake to be connected to a small group in order to build relationships. There are also groups for children, teenagers and young adults.
